Taking Home Your New Kitten
Care Guide
Congratulations on welcoming your new kitten from Healing Paws Ragdoll and Cherubim Cattery! Our kittens are raised with extensive love, daily handling, and careful socialization to ensure they transition smoothly into their new homes. This guide will help you provide the best care for your new companion.
Feeding
• Royal Canin Mother & Babycat kibble is free-fed and available at all times.
• ½ can Royal Canin Mother & Babycat wet food in the morning.
• ½ can Royal Canin Mother & Babycat wet food in the evening.
• At 16 weeks kittens typically transition to Royal Canin Kitten..
• Always transition foods gradually over 5–7 days.
Water
• Kittens are used to drinking from an electric stainless steel water fountain.
• Refill and check water daily.
• Clean and replace filters at least every 2 weeks.
Litter Box
• Kittens are trained using stainless steel litter boxes.
• They are accustomed to tofu litter (Honeycare Petrichor).
• They can adapt to other litter types with gentle encouragement.
• Place the kitten in the litter box several times per day during the first few days so they confidently
learn the location.
Settling Into a New Home
• For the first week keep your kitten in a smaller space such as a bathroom or small bedroom.
• This helps them adjust to new smells and prevents accidents if the litter box is far away.
• Gradually introduce them to the rest of the home once they are comfortable.
• Some crying the first few days is normal—routine and reassurance will help.
